Deep Tissue Massage
Best for chronic pain, your therapist will use slower, deeper strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. Deep tissue massage breaks up scar tissue and "knots" or adhesions that can disrupt circulation and cause inflammation, pain and reduced range of motion. The superficial muscles must be relaxed otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the massage therapist from reaching deeper musculature. Deep tissue is generally integrated with other massage techniques.
Why We're Different
Full Time Massage
It's not uncommon to book a 60 minute massage and only get 50 minutes of "hands-on-time", but at Blue Orchid Massage, we believe it's important that you get exactly what you signed up for. We have already built in time to chit chat before and after your massage, meaning you are guaranteed a full 60, 75 or 90 minutes of "Hands on Time". We just ask that you arrive on time so we aren't rushed.
No Tips Accepted
We do not accept gratuities or tips.
The best compliment you can give us is a referral! Learn more about why we don't accept tips.
No Extra Cost for Deep Tissue
We know that every session is different and that you might need deep tissue and trigger point therapy one session but a relaxing Swedish massage the next. That's why we feel it's important to not charge extra for certain modalities. Your session could include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Warm Bamboo, Trigger Point Therapy, Injury massage and Aromatherapy.
